UntitledMy genius sleeps in eastern seas Among the lights forgotten black, And waits for me to call the stars, And waits for me to call her back.Untitled
She sleeps alone, as do we all, In confines of austerity, And waits upon the grey visage We present to posterity. The northern lights traverse her soul As minds shall still refuse to do- They sit on thrones of lonliness They sever sharply "me" and "you". The seas, the unforgiving seas That bury her in crushing dark- They grow in rains of pregnant thoughts That mitigate our divine spark. So should I ever want her

Mourning BandsI don't resent their mourning bands, Really I don't; after all, They were so correct, and Allowed for observance among the unobservant. Now, Bereft of propriety and imposed sympathy, We stand alone, That which grieves us forming a black silk lining Under eyes, around the insides of our foreheads, Dangling like flags in words utteredMourning Bands
Unfeelingly. How nice, Maybe, to have someone let you walk by in silence, Marking your passage with a nod of understanding, But our bands are all unseen.

MultiplicityStartled with the silence of a pre-autumnal day, Wordlessly confronting what they said she couldn't say, She thought she knew a stranger and had lost a mortal friend, For she was several persons, and so he proved, in the end.Multiplicity

AwakeningHow many verses wasted on the air Or starving on a page to sink to dust Have sought to kiss a vision, render flesh What graces only airy memory. A poem dies but once, yet in my hand Reality has died a thousand deaths, I find myself adoring erringly Mirages of mirages on the sand. The statue I have built you on this page Is merely a reflection of the god You have been to my idolizing heart- But, opening my eyes, the dream is fled.Awakening

The woods are lovely, dark and deep
But I have promises to keep
And miles to go before I sleep...
And miles to go before I sleep
-Robert Frost
Hope you're doing well too!
